Baker Relays

Baldwin City, Kan. – In just their second outdoor track and field meet of the season, the McPherson College track team took ninth place at the Baker University Relays Saturday in Baldwin City, Kan.

The Bulldogs took first place in the men’s high jump, as senior Antowine Lamb cleared 2.03 meters (6’-8.0”), a NAIA Outdoor Nationals “B” standard qualifying mark.

Sophomore Javier Ceja came in second place in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:18.13, while Anthony Leal rounded out the top Bulldog finishers with a fourth place finish in the 800 meters (2:03.30).

Other notables from the meet include freshman Kyle Smith’s eighth place finish in the 1,500 meters (4:25.61), while Grant Miller took fourth in the hammer throw (36.69 meters) and Ginickachi Ibe improved on his previous time in the 100 meters, finishing 11th with a time of 11.32 seconds.
