Southwestern meet

Mike Baxter finishing

This past weekend the Bulldog Harriers competed at Southwestern's NAIA Mid-State Classic. This meet is known for its fast course and great competition. We had a lot of Personal Record's and Seasons Bests but we still have a lot to give.

In the ladies race, Erin Loeffler had a big performance and ran a PR of 20:17 which puts her 7th all time on the McPherson list. On the day the ladies had 4 out of 6 season best. We are looking forward to the end of the year and running on a fast course in Salina.

On the mens side Javier Ceja ran a great race working his way up throughout the race and placing 4th in a National caliber field. Ceja's time of 25:04 was a life time best and puts him 4th on the all time amongst very good company of Dewayne Jackson (24:21), 400 and 800 school record holder Fred Wilson (24:48) and 10k school record holder Dave Burgess (24:57). Mike Baxter showed some nice improvement coming in as the second Bulldog on the day with a season best. All in all the Bulldogs had 3 life time PRs and a season best.
